The medical transcriptionist (MT) is a medical language specialist, transcribing dictation from physicians and other healthcare professionals and interpreting and editing to create the medical record.

Although MTs work in hospitals, doctors' offices, and transcription services, many work at home. This requires a high degree of skill. Our MT program gives its graduates much more than the minimum, preparing them to become certified medical transcriptionists (CMTs).
